VetONE™ Puppy food has been specifically formulated for young growing dogs. VetONE™ Sensitive Skin & Stomach for Dogs Kangaroo & Duck may also be used for puppies as it is nutritionally formulated to suit all life stages.

Which VetONE™ dry foods are suitable for kittens?

We have formulated VetONE™ Sensitive Skin & Stomach for Cats Kangaroo & Duck to meet the AAFCO nutrient profiles for both cats and kittens (all life stages). This means that it may be used as a complete and balanced everyday diet for kittens from 8 weeks of age as well as adult cats.

What is the difference between prebiotics and probiotics in VetONE™ food?

Probiotics are live bacteria that are present in foods such as yoghurt and kombucha which add beneficial bacteria to the gut environment. Prebiotics are complex dietary fibres which are a natural food source to the gut bacteria that support a healthy gut. The VetONE™ range utilise both prebiotics, in the form of Mannan-Oligosaccharides (MOS) and Fructo-Oligosaccharides (FOS), and two heat stable strains of probiotics to support digestive health.

FAQ General

Where is VetONE™ pet food made?

VetONE™ food is made in Australia. Our manufacturing plant, located in New South Wales, is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art, fully HACCP certified facility which complies with stringent audit requirements. That’s how we can ensure that the food we produce is of the highest standard of quality and safety for your pets.

Are VetONE™ diets Complete & Balanced?

All our VetONE™ diets are carefully formulated to be complete and balanced and to meet the nutritional standards of nutritional governing bodies such as Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO). This means that you have the peace of mind knowing that all our VetONE diets will provide your pet with complete nutrition from head to tail.

What is a novel protein?

The VetONE™ range uses protein sources such as kangaroo, duck, salmon, turkey and lamb which are considered “novel” as these proteins occur less commonly in everyday pet food and are less commonly found to be the cause of food allergies. The VetONE™ dry food range has a selection of both single protein diets and limited protein diets to ensure there is a diet to suit the needs of your pet. We recommend speaking to your veterinarian to find out which diet is right for your pet.

What is OmegaBalance™?

OmegaBalance™ is our potent blend of Omega 3 and Omega 6 essential fatty acids (EFA) sourced from premium plant and animal sources. The oils in OmegaBalance™ are highly bioavailable and correctly balanced to maintain optimal coat condition and healthy skin. Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids are essential fatty acids (EFA) which are critical to maintaining normal body processes such as the immune system and skin and coat condition. Dogs and cats can only obtain these EFA from dietary sources which is why we include OmegaBalance™ in our VetONE™ food.

Is VetONE™ food suitable for pets with allergies?

The VetONE™ dry food range is formulated with novel and limited protein sources to help reduce the occurrence of food related allergies or intolerances in dogs and cats. We also use sorghum as our main carbohydrate source as it does not contain any gluten, which some animals may be allergic to. We recommend discussing with your veterinarian to determine which VetONE™ food is best suited to your pet’s needs.

What if my pet doesn’t eat the food?

This is rare. We recommend trying to slow down the transition to our VetONE™ food. Some pets are more sensitive to food changes and may take slightly longer to accept new food. As part of our VetONE™ promise all our food is backed by a 100% palatability guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with the product, you can return the unused portion to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement. You can view the policy here.

How much VetONE™ should I feed my pet?

Each one of our VetONE™ diets has its own feeding chart provided. Feeding charts are based on the ideal weight of what your pet should be and provided as a guide only. Feeding amounts should be adjusted as necessary or as directed by your veterinarian according to your pet’s condition, age and activity level in order to maintain optimal weight.

How should I change my pet over to VetONE™ food?

Patience is key. Pets should be gradually introduced to their new VetONE™ food over a 7-10 day period. Transitioning slowly and gradually gives your pet’s gastrointestinal system time to adjust to the new food and avoid upsets. Occasionally, some pets may need a longer period of transition or a tailored transition plan. We recommend discussing this with your veterinarian.

Can I recycle VetONE™ packaging once it is finished?

Absolutely! That is the great thing about our VetONE™ packaging. Due to the unique Roll n’ Recycle packaging, there is no need to take used packaging to a soft plastic collection site. VetONE™ dry food packets can be rolled up and placed in regular household recycling bins once they are empty. Just follow the Roll n’ Recycle instructions on the back of each packet and pop it into your kerb side recycling bin.
